End of March

Well what happened here was I was distracted by real life rather than cyber life.....All of a sudden the Teachers Meeting and then the Newcastle Show were upon us and rehearsals starting up everywhere and I forgot to blog.
Here we are back...hopefully to routine but we'll have to see.
Major happening this week for all schools will be the second run of security ID
Thursday arvo at the Star Struck office 4pm -5:30pm.... for all teacher ID....of course if Newcastle School Portraits already take your school photos they will have your face already....cool.

Week 5

In the blink of an eye we are at week 5. All audition DVDs are due at the end of the week and teams are at the ready. Thanks for the feedback on composition of your group. There are some songs in the show we are looking at just girls and others where we need boys.
Teams meet Friday and Wednesday to audition schools. Saturday is the round 3 Singers audition.
The show is now ready to go with arrangements and vision and costume design and even prop building.

Musicians alert

Today we posted the forms to musos. So hopefully there'll be this extraordinary response and we'll need to mic a huge orchestra and set a vast stage for a hyper metal band and find a spot for a musical saw DJ.
Actually its just one of the magic pieces of the puzzle we look for each year. Check out the performers page .....and don't forget to refresh.

End Week 1

Students met last night and started running hot with ideas....they are in their own little worlds now getting their collections together. Already I've had phone calls with whole scenes ready to go. How good is that....Wait til next we meet.

Dance Auditions

Many will have the DVD in school and on the video already. Besides the ultimate goal of submitting an audition enjoy. Both Primary and High are fast and furious but a ton of fun. Any questions call the office. Everyone has the same input I wonder which school gets totally creative and presents a spectacular and unique output? Take it as the first competitive challenge of the new show.

The Student Team

I am expecting the student team this afternoon for our first interest meeting in 2009. Past team meets new keen interested group. The good thing is that we have so many attending. The bad thing is that we have so many attending. Unfortunately I don't think will be enough work to keep everyone actively involved unless the segment they direct becomes a monster of epic proportions. Actually that could work. We'll just have to wait and see.

We're Back

Seems the holidays were a brilliant experience for all.
Actually we closed down all communication for the entire vacation period. Good intentions to update while lazing at home in front of a computer did not eventuate. The water and the sun and the good times got in the way.
However we have been active in other areas..... the show is written and the finales are done.
Dan's been at the music over the past month. Brilliant that.
